The students created AMAZING character paintings, by choosing an inanimate object to paint and giving it human characteristics. Their goal – to tell a story with a single image, by exploring how facial features and color can communicate a feeling or a mood.
In March, students were inspired by artist Nich Karp, who is known for his autobiographical paintings that capture everyday moments from his life with a whimsical twist. Nich utilizes a variety of techniques to build stories around quirky characters, who inhabit slightly distorted and dramatic spaces.
