Support Homeless Teens at Black Rock High School (Deadline: Dec 12th)
Groundwork Arts is partnering with local community member Loisa Bartlett to support the homeless teens at Black Rock High School . Last year, Loisa raised over $800 for students in need, and this year we're expanding the effort through a GWA community campaign. There are currently 20 students experiencing homelessness at Black Rock HS. Our Goal: Provide each student with a $40 Walmart gift card , and a Go Bag with basic essentials. AFTER SCHOOL ARTIST WORKSHOP Groundwork Arts is thrilled to partner with MUSD's ELOP After School Program to provide this unique experience. Each Wednesday, 15 exceptionally talented local artists guide students through in-depth explorations in a wide variety of art mediums. Signs of Courage - Awards Ceremony
What is Signs of Courage? During the 2023-24 school year, Groundwork Arts artists worked with 6th-grade students on a special project called Signs of Courage. Students learned about messaging, graphic imagery, typeface, color, and shape, and created hundreds of art signs with encouraging messages in response to the challenging issues they face.
